Open Markets & Farm Action Grade the Biden Administration’s Progress on Food System Competition Executive Order

The anti-monopoly groups’ latest report card highlights what the administration must accomplish in its remaining 17 months on behalf of farmers, workers, eaters, and the U.S. economy

WASHINGTON - Last summer, Farm Action and Open Markets Institute released our initial report card grading government agencies' progress toward the directives in President Biden’s 2021 executive order promoting competition throughout the economy.

On July 17th, with only 17 guaranteed months remaining to deliver on the promises of the executive order, we checked in once again on the executive agencies’ progress on behalf of farmers, workers, & the American people. Our goal: to understand what the Biden administration must accomplish in its remaining time in office.

This virtual event underscored the urgency to act, as the deadline swiftly approaches to make positive, lasting changes to our consolidated food system — that can't simply be nullified by the next administration.
